Int/Adv Lindy 3hr workshop with Liane Wergen and Ionut Bajescu
Saturday afternoon
We’re thrilled to welcome Liane & Ionut for three hours of Lindy Hop, bringing their ideas and inspiration from the international festival scene straight to our dance floor.
This dynamic duo have been teaching and competing at festivals across Europe, and are known for their energetic, musical and playful approach wherever they go.
In London, they teach weekly classes with Swing Patrol, where they focus on rhythm, connection and helping you find that little bit of magic that makes your partner smile.

Level description
Who is this workshop for?
Intermediate–Advanced level. You should be comfortable with the fundamentals of Lindy Hop and be able to use them confidently on the social dance floor.
Expect to explore rhythm, musicality, connection and creative variations, while finding new ways to play with the vocabulary you already have.
You should be comfortable with:

6-count and 8-count footwork

Swing-outs, lindy circles — this is essential!

Charleston basics, including hand-to-hand and tandem

Social dancing — you can take what you know onto a busy social floor whether fast or slow.
This is a workshop for dancers who are ready to dig deeper, want to have fun with their dancing and discover some cool moves!
Big Marv's Big Fat Big Band
Saturday night
Marvin Muoneke's very own big band is back for an encore!
This 16-piece big band made up of Marvin's hand-picked musicians blew the roof off last year and we can't wait for their return!
Not only is Marvin an established jazz stalwart who's played at the like's of Ronnie Scott's, he’s a big band leader, conductor, performer and arranger.
Big Marv's Big Fat Big Band is firmly steeped in the swingin’ tradition with new and original arrangements of classic tunes for both dancing and listening!
Event timings: 7.30pm - 11.15pm
Sunday tea dance
The Barrel House Vipers light up the room with swing tunes for Lindy, Balboa and Shag dancers alike.
They have toured Europe, America and extensively across the UK specialising in early jazz and blues from the 1920’s to the 1940’s.
If you were at Stomp last year then you'll know just how great they are. Led by Rachel Lawrence, the energy the band brings is electric!

LINDY WORKSHOP - SATURDAY
St Bonaventure's Business Centre is where the lindy workshop will be held on Saturday. There is free parking on site and spaces on nearby roads.

SOCIAL DANCES - SAT & SUN
Bristol Folk House is the location for Saturday night and Sunday's tea dance.
On street parking is available behind Bristol Council House or in the multi-storey at Trenchard Street behind Bristol Beacon.
